We've been selected to launch Fairphone's most sustainable smartphone
Fairphone, the sustainable consumer electronics company has selected consumer PR agency Fanclub for the UK launch of the Fairphone 5.
The Fairphone 5 launched today (30th August), and is the company’s most sustainable smartphone. It features modular hardware design, so that owners can fix it themselves. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm® QCM6490 (Octa Core) chipset, which means that the device will have extended software support well beyond the norm. This means users have an extended phone lifecycle, helping them to reduce their environmental impact.
Fairphone joins Fanclub’s roster of clients that are seeking to make an environmental or social impact. These include household cleaning company smol, fashion company Lucy & Yak, and musicMagpie. In addition, the agency’s corporate and business-to-business practice, Humankind, works with the electric car racing series Formula E and climate tech company Permutable AI.
Fanclub is a B Corp agency. In an effort to ensure that its work makes a positive contribution, it recently took the Clean Creatives pledge, a commitment to not work with fossil fuel clients.
